Last post I stated how for some weird reason I had sunglasses on in all my pictures on this blog. Well my wife informed me that I also used the phrase “a good time was had by all” in every post as well. The only solution is she has banned us from having a good time. Of if we are hanging out as a group one of us can't have fun, thus we wont ALL have a good time. So next time we have people down to our house someone will have the be the designated “not have fun person”. They will me mocked and ridiculed and everyone else will be encouraged to step on their toes.
Also the other day I hooked the antenna up. We had been without TV for maybe 3 weeks sense the move. I hadn't really missed it. I had continued to state that “i would hook it up come football season”. Well the pre-season started last sunday, so last saturday (and sun morning) was antenna day.
No picture today - Lazy.

Update
Haven't Updated in a while – here goes.
First off I realized I'm wearing sunglasses in all my pictures on this blog. Thats not on purpose.
Now for current events.
Last weekend a friend came down to town and we saw harry potter 6 in 3D imax. My wife is a big fan. As part of a deal a while back I read all 7 harry potter books and she would read a series of books I was really into. I finished all 7. Becca is on #2 of 10. The deal was made upwards of 3 years ago. Anyway. Only the first 20 minutes of the movie was in 3D which was disappointing. The movie was bad, which was also disappointing. It left out important stuff, put in extra stuff, was too long and if memory serves ended a few chapters early. Im not sure how long it actually was but it could have easily been a 90 minute flick without loosing anything. It may have even been better. Or they could have made it 2hr30minutes, put less filler in and made it include part of book 7. This way the would not be “required” to make book 7 into 2 movies. I say that because book 7 could fit in 1 flick. I mean how many people went to see titanic?
Anyway. Car picked up a nail in the tire on way home. Got it home though and dealt with it the next day. The bolt that holds down the spare tire was rusted, I tried just about everything to get it out. Long and short is I bought some bolt cutters and cut the spare tired of my trunk. (Thus the picture)
Tire is fixed and we bought some new furniture last Sunday as well.
Friends also came to visit this weekend and a good time was had by all.
Tired of typing now and back to work soon.

Titan Night
So took the night off from house crap to work on the new titan and watch 8 episode of scrubs.
For those of you not up with 40k/scifi lingo a titan is a giant robot. A group of us scratchbuild them from misc crap. My newest one is going to be 38” tall when its done. So far its just made of blue insulation foam and foamcore board. Basic idea is seal the foam with glue/paint then bondo it (like the stuff they use to repair cars) to give it a good solid surface that can then be sanded & painted. Ive thrown up a 3D rendering i did of what the titan will look like when its done.

Misc Updates From Today
-I got in 4 hockey games in NHL 2005 today. My Sharks are 9-1-0 in the last 10 games and are tied for 5th place in the whole league (with 44 points). My previous 10 games were not nearly that great. I'm definitely getting better. And definitely making some good trades.
-Tomorrow we hopefully finish moving into our new house. Huzzah.
-I finished up the dartboard backstop (see picture). I added 2 layers of felt to 3/8” plywood. Before the darts were sticking fine in the plywood. With the 2 layers of felt they tend to hit then fall strait down. Not sure if i'm going to try to take a layer off or what.
-Took inventory for new Art/SCi-Fi project.
-Johannes called talked music for a while. Helped his girlfriend's sister with her physics homework. Turns out I actually remember some stuff. It actually really resembled the “phone a friend” lifeline.

An Old Game & New Tricks
So i started playing NHL 2005 (game cube) a few days back. Its just as fun as i remember the NHL game series being. Im about 16 games into a 90 some game season and i'm 8-4-2 (W-L-T). Im playing as the San Jose Sharks.
Also i tried to get Baden to play frisbee in our new yard yesterday. He did kinda well. He loves it and he is fast enough, he just can't catch it. The current problem is he doesn't look up or over his shoulder. So i throw the disk, he takes off running with his eyes basically looking strait forward and waits for it to come into view.
Problem with this is as soon as he sees it its usually too late and requires a radical late route course correction. He actually had 2 hit him in the back of the head yesterday.
I also decided Baden is part rhinoceros or ram. He has the funny bump on the back of his head that alot of dogs have. Yesterday he was in one of his crazy fits and ran around me, from about 5-8 feet away he turned around put his head down and ran square into my shin. 50 pounds of Baden skull. Bone on Bone. Near knocked me over. The closest thing i could say is it was remarkable like the feeling you get when someone had kicks you in the shin. Baden was unphased.
OK. Will post new house pictures tomorrow.
Picture today is of current house.

Lake Weekend & Wedding
This last weekend we took Friday off and went to my wife's side family reuinion. Good times were had by all. It was held at a lake house. I did the two most important things one should do while at a lake. A) nothing and B) nothing on a boat. Also Will Brown got married last weekend. Everything went well and good times were had by all. With the exception of the 10 hours in the car and the fact we didn't get any house stuff done it was a great weekend.

The Civic
July 12, 2009
Over the last few weeks we have been rather busy. Now I will catch you up. I will cover the house and other misc stuff later. Tonight is the car. Ive had the Black Civic for I think about 9 years now I got it used with about 40,000 some miles on it. I think now its pushing 190,000.
About two weeks ago I was driving down 401 here in down (about 60 mph) and the car just went dead on me. I decided right then it was most likely the ignition coil. I was about 5 miles from home so I just had it toed back to my house thanks to AAA. After getting it home I play about with it and went to advanced auto's web site. They wanted 80$ for an ignition coil. When I replaced the one in our Toyota Camry a year or two back it cost me 25$. So I hit ebay. I found a whole distributor (which the ignition coil lives inside) for 100$ (included shipping). Only problem was it took about a week to get here as it had to come all the way from Alberta.
While the civic had some down time I went ahead and replaced the fuel filter. I had some problems getting the fuel line leaving the fuel filter to stop leaking when I put the new one in but managed to fix that after a bit of playing with it.
After a week of waiting the distributor showed up. Only problem was the distributor cap was broken. So the civic currently has a new distributor w/ and old cap.
I was thinking about it a few days ago however and the entire time i've had the civic I have only had to replace two parts (aside from headlights, and parts replaced as part of regular maintenance). I replaced the distributor just this last month and we replaced the muffler twice. Once because of hitting it on too many rocks at camp and then it rusted. The second time was because it spent 3 winters in Ohio picking up road salt and rusted.
All and all though its still kicking and continues to be a good car.

Blogging Day #1
July 09, 2009 - Blogging Day #1
So i do lots of warhammer and art of the nature. I consider my models to be an art form. I also post a lot of that stuff on other forums. The problem I've run into is that when it comes to things that are not warhammer related people on those forums just don't care. They just want to see the next titan or manta or whatnots. I thought about that little line on facebook a little but i think its hard to sum up what i do in a day in just one line. My wife suggested Live Journal but said she thought it cost money now so that was out. I have a good friend who does some blogging on this site, taking his cue i decided to give it a shot. The hard part will be keeping up with it every day. I think my blog will be of a similar nature as his. As such i decided to name it "keeping track of Jeff" but with more capitol letters.
Anyway today went to work, did some work on a new set of bridges. Decided that architects are getting too fancy with bridges of which it is likely no one will see the sides of. (aside from the occasional guy in a canoe on the Hocking River). After that we took a load of crap over to the new house. (Becca and I bought a house in case you missed that). Did about 2 hours of painting, hit wendys then went to coldstone w/ some friends for desert. After that i fixed itunes from where our computer crashed and no longer liked it once i system restored. Then started a blog and probably going to finish the night watching a few old episodes of ER.
And here is one of my favorite pictures of me for good measure.
